New Opportunities: Redux

I have determined my pricing scheme, as mentioned in an earlier post.

For starters: Domain registration will be $10 per year. This is a standard fee across the industry, but having me do it means it’s one less thing to worry about. Plus, if you want to move your hosting, or make any changes down the road, I can make those changes quickly and efficiently for you.

Hosting will be $10 per month. This is unlimited disk space, and unlimited bandwidth

. Obviously, I will have a standard Terms of Service operation in place, but really, I’m pretty lax about a lot of things. I dare you to find hosting for $10 a month that is truly in every way unlimited.

Email is optional, though highly recommended. I can setup forwarders for you so you’d only need to check one address. It looks much more professional to have your own email domain, so I will make sure you can send your customized email out. This will be included in your account setup fee, which will be $20, and is a one time charge. Furthermore, I will assist you in setting up an email client if you desire. Otherwise, we can use several webmail options, something you definitely won’t want to go without no matter which way you choose.

Here’s the math:
Domain Registration: $10
Domain Hosting: $10/mo (1 year minimum)
Account Setup: $20

A year of unlimited hosting starts at $150!

Of course, I can do any number of other things, from creating and deploying content management systems (CMS), shopping carts, dating sites, virtual office environments, a personal wiki, a customer management system (CRM), invoicing and time tracking, all customized to your needs.

Soon, I will be offering package deals for anyone seeking web development. Prices are not solid yet, but the basic plans will follow the following scheme:

1) Basic- I will register your domain, setup your hosting and administer your email. Beyond that however, you are free to do whatever you wish with the hosting space.

2) Intermediate- I will do everything included in the basic plan and create a CMS for you. You can choose any varsity of options, and I will support the CMS, but not any modifications, nor will I customize my scripts for you.

3) Deluxe- I will create a CMS, administer it, customize it, and support a yet to be determined number of cases, all included in the cost of the package. This is all in addition to site and mail administration, plus registration of the domain name.

I support php, mysql, mssql, ruby, .net, asp, pop and IMAP, webdav and many more languages.
